New Blog Kickoff!

This is the initiation of the newly redeveloped Steadwell blog in conjunction with the new website.  Obviously, it is still being worked on, i.e. the about page, contact, etc… but it is a work in progress and is never completely done.

The previous personal blog has been moved to http://steveds.wordpress.com.  I really couldn’t believe that steveds wasn’t already taken, so I feel rather lucky about that.  I hope that this new blog will generate enthusiasm for it’s visitors and inspire good fortune for the future.  Times are changing and perhaps the worst of times will now be in the past.

Dell to Acquire Perot Systems

Dell will acquire Perot Systems over the next 6 months for somewhere in the neighborhood of $3.9 billion, plus or minus a few million. Dell’s intent is to become involved with the IT service industry and capitalize on Perot’s Health Care contracts.

Apple Helmsman Goes Public …

Apple CEO Steve Jobs directed his comments to the public after rumors of his health condition spurred various rumors.  Following his backing out as the Macworld conference key note speaker, the scuttlebutt grew explosively.  Mr. Jobs substituted his Marketing Chief, Phil Schiller, to speak in his stead.

Fortunately, according to Jobs, the health issue has been diagnosed and he is now on the road to recovery.
